BRI net profit rises 17.5% to Rp31.2 trillion through June 2026
New: loans grew 16.2% to Rp1,646 trillion, with 75.1% of the portfolio still flowing to UMKM.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk booked net profit of Rp31.2 trillion through the end of the second quarter of 2026, up 17.5% from the same period a year earlier. The result was supported by a 9.9% increase in net interest income to Rp80.5 trillion and a 12.8% rise in pre-provision operating profit to Rp65.7 trillion. As of the end of June, BRI's total assets reached Rp2,352 trillion, while loans grew 16.2% to Rp1,646 trillion and third-party funds rose 6.7% to Rp1,581 trillion. The CASA ratio improved to 67.6%, the cost of funds fell from 3.0% to 2.4%, and the nonperforming loan ratio improved to 2.9%. BRI also said 75.1% of its loan and financing portfolio continued to be distributed to the UMKM segment.
