BRI launches BRImo Taiwan to serve PMI and diaspora
The app is built for daily transactions and remittances to Indonesia through a single 24-hour platform.
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk launched BRImo Taiwan at New Taipei City Hall to expand financial services for the Indonesian diaspora in Taiwan, especially Indonesian migrant workers. Through the app, users can meet financial needs on a single platform, from daily transactions to sending money to Indonesia.
The launch builds on BRI’s strengthened presence in Taiwan through BRI Taipei Branch. The company said BRImo Taiwan is designed as a digital banking ecosystem that can be accessed 24 hours a day to simplify cross-border services.
President Director of BRI Hery Gunardi said the service is intended to make banking access for Indonesians in Taiwan easier, faster, safer and closer. BRI also said the digital service is relevant because Taiwan is one of the main destinations for Indonesian migrant workers, with large remittance activity.
