Brazil's Supreme Court convicted former lawmaker Eduardo Bolsonaro on Tuesday of seeking Trump administration help in his father's coup-plot case, sentencing him to four years and two months in prison. A four-justice panel unanimously backed the conviction, which leaves Jair Bolsonaro's son at risk of arrest if he returns to Brazil from the United States. Prosecutors said he sought US sanctions against Supreme Court justices and tariffs on Brazilian goods to influence the case. The ruling also makes him ineligible to run for office for eight years. Eduardo Bolsonaro said he had not been properly notified and argued the case was meant to block him from public life.
