Book portrays Trump team holding Epstein strategy sessions
What's new: The account says aides weighed releasing more material and discussed whether a Ghislaine Maxwell pardon would deepen the backlash.
A forthcoming book by New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan depicts President Donald Trump and senior aides repeatedly convening to handle political fallout tied to Jeffrey Epstein. Fox News, citing the book “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump,” reported that Vice President JD Vance pushed the White House to prepare for additional allegations becoming public, while Chief of Staff Susie Wiles led internal discussions. The account also says aides considered whether Trump should pardon Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking of a minor, but worried it would worsen the public response. Trump also directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek release of grand jury testimony, Fox reported.
