Bogor prepares electric buses to Depok and Puncak for tourism
New corridors Cibinong-Bogor Botanical Gardens and Pakansari-Margo City are also being readied, with a private scheme to cut APBD costs.
Bogor Regency Government is preparing to expand electric bus service to Depok and the Puncak area, including dedicated tourism vehicles. After a trial on the Bojonggede-Sentul corridor, the regency is preparing routes from Stadion Pakansari to Puncak to the border of Kabupaten Cianjur, Cibinong-Bogor Botanical Gardens, and Cibinong-Stadion Pakansari-Margo City in Kota Depok. Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto is also considering a regular Bojonggede-exit Tol Citeureup corridor. The plan is still being discussed by the Bogor Regency Transportation Agency and the West Java Transportation Agency while taking into account existing public transport operations. For vehicle procurement and operations, the regency is preparing a partnership with private companies, while the local government will provide parking areas, charging stations and personnel.
