6-year-old in Central Jakarta falls into coma after electrocution
The child has regained consciousness after treatment at RSCM, but the family says two suspected teenage attackers have not been arrested.
A 6-year-old boy in Kramat, Senen, Central Jakarta, briefly fell into a coma after allegedly being assaulted by two teenagers and taken to a leaking electrical pole in Kramat Pulo park on Sunday (7/6). The victim's grandmother, Linda Reselin, said her grandson, identified as MWP, suffered convulsions, lost consciousness and was treated at RSCM after being electrocuted. CCTV footage shows the boy being dragged and pressed against the pole by two teenagers identified as LNG and RVN. Linda said the case has been reported to Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat, but no arrests had been made as of Wednesday. A resident, Asep, confirmed the incident and said the park is now closed. He said the electricity leak at the site has been repaired.
