Bobby Nasution to Work in Nias on a Rotating 3-Month Basis

Bobby begins his first week on Wednesday, then shares duties with the deputy governor in rotation to speed priority projects.

North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution will begin working from the Nias Islands this week, starting Wednesday, 13 July 2026. The program will run in rotation with Deputy Governor Surya for a total of three months, part of a pledge made during the 2024 regional election to accelerate development in the island region. In the initial phase, Bobby will work in Nias for one week before Surya takes a turn the following week. While there, Bobby is scheduled to inspect schools, health facilities, and infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and ports, as well as meet directly with residents. He also said three main programs have been prepared specifically for the Nias Islands.
