BNPT and LPSK disburse Rp10.5 billion to 77 terror victims
Victim protection is one of 9 main themes in RAN PE Phase II 2026-2029, covering medical aid, rehabilitation and compensation.
BNPT and LPSK are strengthening cooperation to fulfill the rights of terror victims through the National Action Plan for Countering Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism, or RAN PE Phase II 2026-2029. At an international commemoration for terror victims in Jakarta on Friday, BNPT head Eddy Hartono said witness protection and the fulfillment of victims' rights are among the nine main strategic themes in the second phase. LPSK chairman Achmadi said LPSK and BNPT have handed over compensation for 77 past terror victims worth Rp10,535 billion. Previously, compensation was also given to 570 past terror victims through their families, totaling Rp98,925 billion. The support scheme includes medical aid, psychological and psychosocial rehabilitation, assistance for the families of victims who died, and compensation.
