RSUD Besuki midwife found dead in Situbondo drainage ditch
Police suspect the victim was assaulted; the body was taken to RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem for an examination and autopsy.
Situbondo police are investigating the death of Murtafia Rafika Devi, 34, a midwife at RSUD Besuki, who was found dead in a drainage ditch on Jalan Raya Pantai Utara, Kalianget village, Banyuglugur district, on Saturday night, June 6. The victim was a resident of Besuki village, Besuki district. Criminal investigation unit chief AKP Selimat said a report of suspected murder was received at about 16:30 WIB, then a team with the Banyuglugur Police found the body at about 19:30 WIB. Police immediately conducted a crime scene investigation. The initial suspicion is that the victim was assaulted, leading to her death. To determine the cause of death, the body was taken to RSUD dr. Abdoer Rahem for a postmortem examination and autopsy.
