BI survey: Indonesian businesses expand in Q2, inflation 3.07%

Production capacity rose to 73.8%, and business activity in Q3 is expected to stay expansionary with a 11.75% weighted net balance.

Bank Indonesia recorded an improvement in Indonesian business performance in Q2 2026, reflected in a Weighted Net Balance of 12.97%, up from 10.11% in the previous quarter. The increase was supported by agriculture, forestry and fisheries, construction, mining and quarrying, and accommodation and food services, as demand rose during Hari Besar Keagamaan Nasional and the school holiday season. BI also projected Q2 2026 inflation at 3.07%. Installed capacity rose to 73.80% from 73.33% in Q1. Liquidity and profitability were still assessed as healthy, although both eased. For Q3 2026, survey respondents expected business activity to remain steady with a Weighted Net Balance of 11.75%, driven by manufacturing, trade, construction and mining.
