Bekasi forms pentahelix team to boost Rp3.8 trillion PAD
By June 5, tax revenue had reached Rp1.257 trillion, while BPHTB and PBJT remain the main pillars of local cash flow.
The Bekasi Regency Government has formed a monitoring and control team for local taxes and levies under a pentahelix model to lift 2026 local own-source revenue, or PAD. The model involves the government, academics, business players, media, and the public. Acting Bekasi Regent Asep Surya Atmaja said the move was taken because local tax potential, especially in industrial areas, is still seen as having room to grow, including from groundwater tax, PBB, BPHTB, and motor vehicle tax through revenue sharing and levies. Head of the Bekasi Regency Bapenda Iwan Ridwan said the basis for forming the team was Bekasi Regent Decree Number 100.3.3.2/Kep.381-Bapenda/2026, issued on 11 May 2026. As of 5 June 2026, local tax revenue stood at Rp1.257 trillion against a target of Rp3.8 trillion.
