Tanjung Priok Customs seizes 5 used Harley bikes, 20 frames
Three importers are under review, and the goods now qualify as state-controlled property pending a DJKN decision.
Tanjung Priok Customs seized five used Harley-Davidson motorcycles, fully dismantled, and 20 used frames shipped from China through Tanjung Priok Port. The case surfaced after officers found anomalies in an X-ray scan of containers that were suspected of being misdeclared in import documents. Tanjung Priok Customs chief Adhang Noegroho Adhi said handling remains at the administrative review stage and has not moved to an investigation. The three importers examined were PT PAS, PT TSS, and PT HPM. All of the goods have been designated Barang yang Dikuasai Negara, while the seized items are still being valued by KPKNL. Customs will coordinate with DJKN to determine whether the goods will be auctioned, destroyed, or transferred under the rules. Imports of used vehicles are prohibited under Permendag Number 24 Tahun 2025.
