BBG sends 3 MMSCFD East Java gas to West Java via Cisem
The flow since Sept. 4 also supports commissioning of the Cisem II Batang-Kandang Haur Timur line, whose testing ended Sept. 6.
PT Bayu Buana Gemilang began sending natural gas from East Java to West Java through the Cirebon-Semarang pipeline network on Sept. 4, 2026. The volume flowing reached 3 million standard cubic feet per day under a gas transportation agreement with PT Pertamina Gas. The shipment makes BBG one of the shippers using the Cisem pipeline connectivity to supply customers in West Java from domestic sources in East Java. The gas flow also followed a request from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to support commissioning of the Batang-Kandang Haur Timur, or Cisem II, segment, including dynamic testing of the gas measurement system and cleaning pigging. According to the company, the follow-up testing was completed on Sept. 6, 2026. The roughly 242-kilometer Cisem II line connects Batang in Central Java with Kandang Haur Timur in West Java.
