Baznas trains 50 needy residents in Kendal to join garment industry
The six-day program includes recruitment support, and partners say 93.3 percent of similar past participants found jobs.
Baznas RI, together with Ruang Amal Indonesia and Baznas Kabupaten Kendal, is training 50 mustahik in Kendal, Jawa Tengah, through a vocational sewing program for garment and apparel operators on 10-15 Agustus 2026. The training is being held at Aula KPRI Hikmah, Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Kendal, and goes beyond technical classes. Participants also receive job-readiness coaching, discipline and industrial work culture training, along with recruitment assistance through job placement. Kendal Regent Dyah Kartika Permanasari said the program is relevant to the growth of industrial zones in her region, including Kawasan Industri Kendal. Ruang Amal Indonesia CEO Slamet said similar cooperation with Baznas RI previously recorded a 93.3 percent employment rate among participants.
