Baznas opens 300 scholarships for Indonesian students in Middle East
The 2026 program is worth Rp8.16 billion over 24 months, with applications open from October 28 to November 9.
Badan Amil Zakat Nasional has opened the 2026 Baznas Cendekia Scholarship Program for 300 Indonesian students pursuing S1 and S2 degrees in eight countries: Mesir, Libya, Maroko, Tunisia, Turki, Suriah, Yordania, and Yaman. Baznas has set aside Rp8.162.500.000 for two years, or 24 months. Recipients will receive a monthly allowance of Rp1 million, PDH uniforms, monthly mentoring, and support for certain competition or conference costs. Applications open from October 28 to November 9, 2026. Baznas RI chairman Sodik Mudjahid said the program is designed to sustain students' studies and prepare a strong generation for Indonesia Emas 2045. Republika reported that Baznas is also focusing on the continuity of Palestinian students' studies at Al-Azhar University in Mesir.
