Baznas opens 16 posts, hands out 1,900 meals for NTT quake victims

Baznas RI opened 16 humanitarian service posts and distributed 1,900 portions of ready-to-eat food for survivors of the earthquake in Nusa Tenggara Timur. The aid was focused on several affected areas, including Kabupaten Manggarai, Ngada, Nagekeo, Ende, and Manggarai Timur. In Kecamatan Sambi Rampas, Manggarai Timur, the food was distributed among others to Desa Nanga Mbaling and Desa Pota. Baznas also operated public kitchens, water kitchens, health services, and temporary mosques at evacuation points. The Baznas Tanggap Bencana team said the number of recipients at each post ranged from 137 to 800 people, while the Rumah Sehat Baznas health service post was set up at Pondok Pesantren Pancasila, Kecamatan Reok, Kabupaten Manggarai.
