Baznas disburses Rp27,5 billion for 2,500 santri, 700 pesantren
Rp10 billion goes to santri scholarships and Rp17,5 billion to repairs under the Pesantren Nyaman Belajar program.
Baznas RI distributed Rp27,5 billion in aid on the observance of Hari Santri Nasional 2026, including scholarships for 2,500 santri and renovations for 700 pesantren across Indonesia. Of the total, Rp10 billion was allocated for santri education scholarships, while Rp17,5 billion was used to improve pesantren facilities and infrastructure through the Pesantren Nyaman Belajar program. Idy Muzayyad, head of distribution, utilization and empowerment at Baznas RI, said the aid is aimed at supporting santri education, especially from mustahik families, while also improving the quality of pesantren facilities. The distribution was carried out for Hari Santri 2026, which carries the theme “Santri Menguatkan Negeri Menuju Indonesia Emas”.
