Baznas-BKKBN expand ZCD, disburse Rp1.39 billion to 23 groups
The program will next reach 11 regencies and cities in eight provinces, while also targeting stunting and extreme poverty.
Baznas RI and Kemendukbangga/BKKBN are expanding the Zakat Community Development (ZCD) Program to improve the welfare of mustahik through zakat, infak, and sedekah funds. Launched in Jakarta on Wednesday, the program combines economic empowerment with community-based health, education, social, and religious efforts. According to Baznas, ZCD has distributed Rp1.391 billion in assistance to 23 groups and will expand to 11 regencies and cities in eight provinces. A 2024-2026 pilot project in five provinces showed that group-based microbusiness mentoring can boost family incomes. BKKBN added the partnership is also aimed at reducing stunting and strengthening family resilience, with UPPKA now reaching 37,000 family planning participant groups across Indonesia.
