Bareskrim arrests child molestation fugitive at Bogor Selatan hotel

Satresmob Bareskrim Polri arrested SS alias RAS, a fugitive in a child molestation case, at a hotel in the Cipaku area of Bogor Selatan, West Java, on Thursday (18/6) at dawn. The case is handled by Direktorat Tindak Pidana PPA-PPO Bareskrim. According to police, the suspect is accused of repeatedly molesting his stepwife's 11-year-old adopted child. The acts were said to have occurred in Depok, Bogor and South Jakarta from July 2024 to July 2025. Police moved after receiving information on the suspect's location, then monitored the hotel until he returned to the room. He was arrested without resistance and taken to Bareskrim for further questioning. Investigators also seized a car, several mobile phones, identity documents, bank cards and other items.
