Barcelona complete Rodri transfer from Man City for £65 million
The Spanish midfielder signed a four-year deal after City agreed to sell him with one year left on his contract.
Barcelona completed a permanent transfer of Rodri from Manchester City for about £65 million, or 60 million euros, and signed the Spanish midfielder to a four-year contract. Rodri arrived in Barcelona on Monday and underwent a medical before the deal was finalized. The 30-year-old leaves City after seven seasons, 298 appearances and 12 major trophies, including the 2023 Champions League. Injuries disrupted his past two seasons, but he returned to prominence at the 2026 World Cup with Spain. City had earlier rejected two Barcelona bids before accepting a third offer, as Rodri entered the final year of his contract at the Etihad. Barcelona view Rodri as a key addition to Hansi Flick's midfield this season.
