Barcelona buy Kerolin from Man City in record £1.25m women's deal

Barcelona signed Brazil forward Kerolin from Manchester City on a contract through 2030, with reports putting the fee at about £1.25 million. If confirmed, it would be a club-record outlay for Barcelona and the largest transfer sum ever received by a Women's Super League team. Kerolin, 26, joined City from North Carolina Courage in January 2025 and helped the club win the WSL title and Women's FA Cup last season. She scored nine league goals and added five assists in 15 appearances, including a hat trick against Chelsea in February. Barcelona moved for her after losing several senior players this summer, including Salma Paralluelo, with Kerolin viewed as part of the rebuild.
