Barcelona have agreed a deal worth about £65 million to sign Rodri from Manchester City, with the Spain captain expected to complete the move in the coming days. The 30-year-old midfielder is set to sign a four-year contract with the Spanish champions after City accepted an improved offer following earlier rejected bids. Rodri joined City from Atletico Madrid in 2019 and made 298 appearances over seven seasons, winning 12 major trophies, including four Premier League titles and the 2023 Champions League. He missed much of the 2024-25 season with a serious knee injury, but returned to form at the World Cup, where he helped Spain win the title and was named player of the tournament.
