Bank BSN teams up with HIMPERRA to expand sharia housing finance

PT Bank Syariah Nasional (Bank BSN) is teaming up with Himpunan Pengembang Permukiman dan Perumahan Rakyat (HIMPERRA) to expand access to sharia-based housing finance in Indonesia. The memorandum of understanding, signed in Jakarta on Wednesday (4/11), also targets market potential from the Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah communities, which Bank BSN had previously explored through community-based housing programs. Beyond home financing, the partnership includes development of a BSN-HIMPERRA co-branded membership card and umrah financing facilities linked to the Bale Syariah by BSN application. The app has recorded 258,8 thousand active users, 3,84 million transactions, and transaction volume of Rp7,48 trillion.
