Bang Japar to Join Jakarta Security Alert Rally on Aug. 27
The group will join Aliansi Masyarakat Jakarta and urged residents not to be provoked by social media misinformation.
Bang Japar said it will take part in the Apel Siaga Jaga Jakarta on 27 Agustus 2026 in Jakarta alongside elements affiliated with Aliansi Masyarakat Jakarta. Bang Japar chairman Fahira Idris said the move was intended as a continuation of the group’s activities in safeguarding security, unity, the environment and public facilities in the capital. In a news conference at Markas Komando Pusat Bang Japar on Friday, she stressed that the event was not aimed at confronting any group. Fahira also called on residents not to be easily provoked by information from unclear sources, video clips without context, or appeals on social media that could trigger conflict among communities.
