A boarding-house witness said the victim rarely left her room for three months and arrived already having trouble walking.

Yuvita Tri Rezeki, 29 years old, a victim of alleged unlawful confinement and assault in Kabupaten Bandung, is being treated intensively at Rumah Sakit Hasan Sadikin, Bandung, with permanent injuries. Her family said she is permanently blind and has lost half of her lip, while surgery is planned. Polda Jawa Barat is still searching for the suspected perpetrator, Taufik Hidayat, 30 years old, and has formed a joint team. Police have also not yet taken a statement from the victim because her communication remains unclear. Resa Rohendi, a boarding-house guard, said Yuvita was almost never seen leaving her room for three months in the Cileunyi area and was already having trouble walking when she first arrived. According to the family, the victim is suspected of having lived with the perpetrator since 2023 and never returned home.
