Bandung's Husein Airport to Resume Commercial Jet Flights Aug. 14

Garuda Indonesia is set to launch the first Denpasar-Bandung service after the Transportation Ministry issued approval.

Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung will resume regular commercial narrow-body jet flights starting Aug. 14, 2026, after PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, or InJourney Airports, received approval from the Transportation Ministry. The inaugural flights are scheduled on the Denpasar-Bandung and Bandung-Denpasar routes by Garuda Indonesia. The airport operator said approval was granted after operational readiness was deemed to meet aviation safety, security, service and regulatory compliance requirements. Facilities prepared include 26 check-in counters, self check-in kiosks, a boarding lounge area, three arrival conveyor belts, as well as new amenities such as a coworking space and a kids zone.
