ASDP cuts ferry fares 20 June-5 July during school holidays
Average cuts of 21.9 percent will apply on seven routes, including Merak-Bakauheni, for pedestrians and certain vehicles.
PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry is strengthening ferry services ahead of the 2026 school holiday period, especially on the Merak-Bakauheni route, while offering ticket discounts for travel between 20 June and 5 July. The reductions come from a 100 percent cut in port service charges, equal to an average 21.9 percent of the total ferry ticket price. The program applies to pedestrians, Class II vehicles and Class IVA vehicles on seven routes, including regular and express Merak-Bakauheni services.
ASDP is also optimizing its fleet, operating staff, customer service and travel information to anticipate higher numbers of passengers and vehicles during the holiday season. At Merak Port, the Directorate General of Sea Transportation together with Marine Inspector KSOP Kelas I Banten carried out vessel seaworthiness spot checks on 10-12 June 2026, including an inspection of KMP Legundi.
