Arsenal have reached an agreement with Aston Villa to sign Ezri Konsa for more than 50 million pounds, with several reports putting the fee at about 51 million pounds. The 28-year-old defender is scheduled for a medical before completing his move to Emirates Stadium. Arsenal accelerated their search for a defender after William Saliba and Jurrien Timber were sidelined by injuries, while Konsa is viewed as a versatile option who can play at center back or right back. Last season, he made 48 appearances for Aston Villa in all competitions, scoring two goals and one assist, and helped Unai Emery's team win the Europa League and finish in the Premier League's top four. Since joining from Brentford in 2019, Konsa has made 286 appearances for Villa.
