Antonelli wins U.S. GP, leads standings by 123 points

His ninth win of the season moves the Mercedes driver closer to the world title after finishing 13.078 seconds ahead of Leclerc.

Kimi Antonelli won the 2026 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, finishing ahead of Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. The Mercedes driver took the lead from the first lap after Verstappen had a poor start, then controlled the race with a one-stop strategy. Antonelli extended his stint on medium tires before switching to hard tires, while several rivals opted for two pit stops. He finished 13.078 seconds ahead of Leclerc, while Verstappen still secured third place despite problems for Red Bull. The result was Antonelli's ninth win of the season and moved him to 365 points, 123 points clear of Leclerc on 242. Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, followed by Lando Norris in fifth.
