Anthropic targets IPO that could top SpaceX’s $75 billion debut

What's next: The Claude maker could file publicly by the end of August as investors chase AI listings.

Anthropic is preparing an initial public offering that could match or exceed the $75 billion raised in SpaceX’s record market debut, according to people familiar with the plans. The Claude developer could make its public filing as soon as late August, though the size of the share sale is still being worked out. Anthropic raised $65 billion in May at a $965 billion valuation. Bloomberg also reported the company posted more than $11.5 billion in preliminary second-quarter revenue and a $65 billion annualized run rate by the end of July. The listing would put Anthropic ahead of OpenAI, which is now targeting 2027 for its own debut.
