What’s new: The AI company reported $16.2 billion in first-half revenue and warned advanced AI could pose catastrophic risks.

Anthropic’s IPO filing gave investors a closer look at the AI company’s finances, governance and risk warnings ahead of its expected US stock market debut. The Claude maker reported a first-half loss of $80.7 billion on revenue of $16.2 billion, underscoring how far it remains from profitability even as sales climb rapidly. The filing also highlighted dependence on chips and data centers needed to train and run its models.
