9-year-old in Bekasi injured, allegedly by stray bullet

Police are investigating the case of a 9-year-old girl identified by the initial A, who was injured after allegedly being hit by a stray bullet in Setu District, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Sunday (5/7). Setu Police Chief AKP Usep Aramsyah said officers had checked the scene, questioned witnesses and collected initial evidence. At the location, police secured one projectile believed to have come from an air rifle. Preliminary checks showed the victim suffered a wound to the chest. After the incident, A was evacuated to RS Fatmawati, South Jakarta, for intensive treatment. Police are still tracing the source of the shot and the party responsible. The victim's condition was reported to be stable and gradually improving.
