Former child actor and online commentator Amos Yee is set to plead guilty on Sept. 7 to three charges tied to evading Singapore's National Service requirements, court records show. Yee, 27, was charged in March under the Enlistment Act after authorities accused him of skipping pre-enlistment medical screening from April 2016 to March 2026 and leaving Singapore without valid exit permits during two periods spanning 2015 to 2026. He was arrested after being deported from the United States in March and is out on S$10,000 bail. CNA reported Yee is not expected to face separate military court action over the same offenses, but he will still be required to complete NS.
