A fire at Block 125 Rivervale Street in Singapore's Sengkang area sent six people to Singapore General Hospital for smoke inhalation and forced about 120 residents to evacuate. The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted at about 4:10 p.m. on June 12 and found flames in a bedroom of a third-floor unit. Firefighters put out the blaze with a water jet. SCDF said no one was inside the unit when crews arrived, and police evacuated the block as a precaution. Videos shared online showed flames and thick black smoke rising from the apartment block.
