4,263 security personnel guard Trisakti student protest, 4 other sites in Central Jakarta
The demonstrations are scheduled from morning through midday at DPR, Monas, Bundaran HI, Tugu Tani and Kementerian Keuangan.
A total of 4,263 combined personnel have been deployed to secure a series of demonstrations at five points in Central Jakarta on Friday, June 19. Police have put personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat, and local precincts on standby to oversee actions at Silang Selatan Monas, Gedung DPR/MPR, Bundaran HI, Tugu Tani, and Kementerian Keuangan. According to the schedule received by police, Dewan Pengurus Nasional Tani Merdeka Indonesia is set to begin demonstrating at 09.00 WIB at Monas, followed by Kepresma Universitas Trisakti at 10.00 WIB at DPR/MPR, then Ikatan Senat Mahasiswa Ekonomi Indonesia at 11.00 WIB at Bundaran HI. Gabungan Mahasiswa dan Pemuda Nusantara is scheduled to rally simultaneously at 13.00 WIB at Tugu Tani and Kementerian Keuangan.
