3 buses crashed in Yishun, sending 3 passengers to hospital
What's new: Police said a 35-year-old bus driver is assisting investigators after the chain-reaction crash at a bus stop.
A chain-reaction crash involving three public buses in Singapore's Yishun district injured at least five passengers and sent three to hospital on Oct. 15. Tower Transit said its Service 853 bus hit the rear of SBS Transit Service 852 at about 3:05 p.m. outside Block 790 Yishun Avenue 2, pushing that bus into SBS Transit Service 851. The Singapore Civil Defence Force took three conscious passengers — a 75-year-old man and two women, ages 48 and 52 — to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Two other people were assessed for minor injuries and declined hospital care. SBS Transit said all injured passengers were on Service 852, which mounted the curb after the impact. No injuries were reported on Service 851.
