2027 hajj final payment falls Rp3.4 million to Rp23.05 million
The total hajj cost still rises to Rp98.47 million per pilgrim, with the gap covered by hajj fund returns and a Rp3.2 million subsidy.
The 2027 hajj final payment owed by prospective pilgrims falls Rp3.4 million from the previous year to an average of Rp23.05 million. The government and DPR agreed on an average Biaya Penyelenggaraan Ibadah Haji of Rp98.47 million per pilgrim. Of that amount, pilgrims will cover Rp54.65 million in Biaya Perjalanan Ibadah Haji, while about Rp43.82 million will be covered by the returns on hajj funds managed by BPKH. In the calculation, the final payment is lower after deducting the Rp25 million initial deposit, an estimated virtual account balance of around Rp3.4 million, and a Rp3.2 million government subsidy. However, hajj and umrah observer Ade Marfuddin said use of the APBN to subsidize pilgrims who can afford it could miss the target and needs a clearer explanation.
