2026 World Cup semifinals: France vs Spain, England vs Argentina
France play Spain on July 15 in Arlington, while England meet defending champion Argentina a day later in Atlanta.
The 2026 World Cup is down to four teams after the quarterfinals from July 10–12. France, Spain, England and Argentina advanced to the semifinals and will compete for two spots in the final. France moved on after a 2-0 win over Morocco on goals from Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele. Spain followed with a 2-1 victory over Belgium; Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring and Mikel Merino sealed it in the 88th minute. England eliminated Norwary 2-1 on two Jude Bellingham goals, including the winner in the 93rd minute. Argentina became the last semifinalist after a 3-1 extra-time win over Switzerland through Alexis Mac Allister, Julian Alvarez and Lautaro Martinez. The semifinals will match France against Spain on July 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, then England against Argentina on July 16 at Atlanta Stadium.
