2 men found dead in Bekasi drainage ditch, 4 arrested
Police are still investigating whether the deaths of two victims in Mustikajaya were linked to a robbery attack or another motive.
Two men were found dead in a drainage channel on Jalan Mustikajaya, Cimuning, Bekasi City, West Java, on Friday (19/6). Video of the discovery of the two bodies spread widely on social media and showed the victims lying face down in the ditch. The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi City Metro Police later arrested four people suspected of being involved. Head of the unit AKBP Andi M Iqbal confirmed the discovery of the two bodies and the arrests. Police have not detailed the sequence of events or how the suspected perpetrators were arrested. They have also not determined the motive. Accounts circulating online said the victims may have been robbed, but investigators are still examining whether the incident was linked to a robbery attack or another cause.
