2 men arrested after using invalid tickets at Singapore F1 event
What's new: A 39-year-old faces two criminal trespass charges after entering a restricted area for staff and performers.
Two men, ages 35 and 39, were arrested on Oct. 9 after trying to enter the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix event area with invalid tickets, Singapore police said. Investigators said the men attempted to enter an event area along Temasek Avenue at about 1:45 p.m. The 35-year-old was turned away, but the 39-year-old got inside and later entered a restricted zone for staff members and performing artists. Event staff detained him within the area along Republic Boulevard, and police arrested him at the scene after getting a report around 3 p.m. The other man was later arrested along Temasek Boulevard. The 39-year-old was due in court Oct. 10 on two counts of criminal trespass, while the 35-year-old remained under investigation.
