2 helicopters collide over Rio de Janeiro, killing 6
What's new: A police source said Oliver Tree was on one aircraft's manifest, but authorities had not formally identified the badly burned victims.
Two helicopters collided in midair over Rio de Janeiro on June 14 and crashed into a car lot in the western suburb of Recreio dos Bandeirantes, killing all six people aboard, firefighters said. One aircraft carried five people and the other only the pilot. The crash set about 20 cars on fire at an electric vehicle dealership. A police source told AFP that American singer and internet personality Oliver Tree was listed on one helicopter's manifest, but the victims had not been formally identified because the bodies were badly burned. Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere said foreign nationals were on one aircraft. Investigators were still reviewing recordings and videos to determine how the collision happened.
