2 dead in targeted shooting at Citibank campus in Tampa

A shooting at Citibank’s large office campus in the Tampa area left two people dead Wednesday, including the suspect, authorities said. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said investigators believe the attack was targeted. Citigroup later told staff that the other person killed was a bank employee. The sprawling suburban campus includes four three-story office buildings and employs thousands. The sheriff’s office said 365 deputies responded as officers cleared the buildings floor by floor and escorted workers from locked rooms, closets and a parking garage. It was not immediately clear whether anyone else was injured. Citigroup said the Tampa campus was secure and that it was adding security at other locations as needed.
