14,000 Pack Banteng Field for World Cup final watch party
The Jakarta festival also boosted about 200 UMKM stalls backed by Jakpreneur and Kadin DKI, along with other local events.
About 14,000 residents crowded the Festival Rakyat Bola Gembira and watch party for the 2026 World Cup final at Lapangan Banteng in Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (19/7). DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno was at the site and said the public enthusiasm had been visible since midday, prompting organizers to move up the program so people waiting outside the area could come in sooner and congestion would not build up. In addition to the watch-party screen, the festival featured a music stage, family entertainment, community activations and promotional space for businesses. About 200 UMKM booths backed by Jakpreneur and Kamar Dagang dan Industri DKI Jakarta took part. Similar events were also held at nearly 30 other points in Jakarta, while hundreds of independent watch parties took place in neighborhood communities.
