13 suspects in Little Aresha daycare case stage 23 scenes in Yogya
The reconstruction added six scenes and further backed suspicions of deliberate instructions to keep children tied up from morning until pickup.
Yogyakarta Police held a reconstruction Tuesday (9/6) in the alleged abuse and neglect case at Daycare Little Aresha in Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta City, bringing in 13 suspects. Over about 3.5 hours, the suspects acted out 23 scenes, up from the initial plan for 17 after prosecutors and investigators asked for a closer examination of each person's role. Police said the reconstruction focused on tying up the children and placing victims on their backs while restrained. The two main suspects, DK as foundation head and AP as school principal, are suspected of giving instructions to the caregivers. Police also suspect the number of child victims exceeds 100.
