110 investors from Asia attend PFII talks in Jakarta

Investors are seeking a PFII structure that meets global standards, while outreach so far has targeted Asia only, not Europe or the Middle East.

The government is speeding up the creation of the Indonesia International Financial Center (PFII), with the initial phase planned in Jakarta, after exploratory talks in Nusa Dua, Bali, drew 110 investors and family office managers from Asia. Investment and Downstream Minister/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani said invitations were originally sent to only 70 parties, but attendance exceeded the target and the response was considered positive. Even so, prospective investors are still waiting for clarity on PFII's structure and format so it aligns with global standards. Rosan added that the current outreach covers only Asia and has not yet reached investors from Europe and the Middle East. PFII is being prepared together with the Ministry of Finance and is already included in the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law. Danantara Indonesia is expected to help build the building and supporting infrastructure.
