1 killed, 5 wounded in shooting at event in Switzerland's Aarau
What's new: Police cordoned off parts of Aarau and widened their search as the gunman's motive remained unclear.
A shooting at an event in Aarau, in northern Switzerland, killed one person and wounded at least five others early Sunday, with some of the injured in serious condition. Aargau cantonal police launched a manhunt and asked the public for photos or video from the scene. Swiss broadcaster RSI and tabloid Blick reported the gunfire broke out at a party or rave event in the Schachen district. Police sealed off a horse racing track, a swimming pool and a sports field, and said they had increased their presence beyond the town as a precaution while emergency services worked at the scene.
